Community Mentoring

We have a body of mentors who are able to work within a ‘community’ whether this is in a family, or in a particular area or a workforce community.  They are fully trained on  ‘Empowering Lives’ an ILM approved course and are able to help improve attitude and behaviour to work in the first instance, attitudes in the workplace and to help companies increase profitability through inspired and empowered workforces. As part of the government initiative the Work Programme we have 30 approved mentors who can support those people currently unemployed back into work.  They address the behaviour and culture of going to work and assist and support them to sustain employment by being both an employee and employer champion.

When mentors are matched to a 'Community' the support may be FOC (as it is funded) or offered at a nominal cost as it is heavily subsidised. This will be discussed with you before the support process starts. The real key is that those supported will need to commit a couple of hours each month to meet their mentor and undertake actions to make the process a success.
