Amanda Chinery has her own business as an independent private doula, trading under Doula Plus. She provides non-medical support for mothers and families during pregnancy. Amanda came in contact with Community & Business Partners through the Shadsworth with Whitebirk Big Local Community Board, and after working with Amanda through this she was able to find out the support that was available to her as a business. To help her business move forwards, Amanda wanted support in raising awareness, profile, planning and growth. So she came to Community & Business Partners for a mentor to help support her in her business.
Amanda now has Imelda O’Keeffe as her Guardian Angel. Imelda was matched to support Amanda in raising awareness, profile, planning and growth. She especially needed help with PR and how to project the company as she has registered as a community interest company.
Amanda and Imelda had been looking at self development and moving things forward for the doula service, as the company relies on Amanda for it to move forward. They are now working on goals for the business so that it can continue to develop.
Amanda says it is
“Going brilliantly, thank you so much for matching me with Imelda!!”
