FATE First Aid Training Excellence

Background:

FATE – Medicade Ltd is based in Accrington and has been in business since September 2004. They provide advice and training to businesses around First Aid training and supplies. They have two permanent members of staff and seven regular associate Trainers. Originally HSE registered but since the changes to HSE approval they are now regulated by the First Aid Industry Body and they provide:

First Aid at Work Qualifications

Emergency First Aid at Work Qualifications

Paediatric First Aid

Basic First Aid

CPR and AED training courses.

Plus a wide range of workplace first aid supplies

Our intervention:

Community and Business Partners (CBP) who are a Boost Business Lancashire delivery partner, undertook an in-depth business diagnostic and FATE was allocated Carl Bradshaw; a growth mentor with expertise in digital marketing. FATE had little experience of social media so Carl worked with Laura for twelve hours one to one mentoring, providing support and sharing knowledge around social media. This enabled FATE to develop a Linkedin presence, a Facebook business page and assisted with the process of using Mailchimp to stay in contact with their customers.

Early Impact:

Laura is now more confident is using these social media tools. FATE will continue to raise brand awareness and keep in touch with their clients and customers through developing these social media relationships. They plan to continue and grow their knowledge and skills in this area and increase revenue via newsletters, offers and information posts and blogs. They have already employed a second member of staff to assist with this process.

Continued Support:

CBP will keep FATE informed of further learning opportunities in the social media arena and they will be invited to networking and other events such as the HR Employers Forum in December 2015.

Laura Chadwick said:

“The support we received has started a process of communicating more effectively with our customers, improving business relationships and developing potential new revenue streams through email marketing. We are confident we can continue to improve our communication and strengthen our client base using the new skill we have”
