Project Assistant - Game Changers




Based in Energy Zone, Newfield Drive, Blackburn BB2 3UA and for travel across East Lancashire

16 hours per week over 3 days between Monday – Saturday and between 9 am - 7pm on a rota

Community and Business Partners (CBP) is a Community Interest Company that runs a number of successful projects to support Business and the Community

CBP has designed the Game Changers project through consultation with the community. This is an exciting activity based project to engage with and support people aged 25+ in the Blackburn with Darwen Higher Croft Ward, to address their wellbeing issues and seek improved wellbeing. They will address their barriers and overcome challenges; physical, psychological, social, financial and where applicable move towards or back into employment or self-employment.

Role overview

We are looking for a Project Assistant to work on the project for the next three years; someone who likes supporting people to engage in activities that will improve their wellbeing.

You will need to be an excellent communicator and able to speak to partners, beneficiaries, volunteers (including mentors), and work closely with the project manager. You should be empathic and aware of the challenges faced by disadvantaged groups that experience low wellbeing and experience of working within communities is essential. The role will be very interesting and varied and include key holding responsibility.
