Digital Engineer Education Programme

Could you work in the digital engineering sector?

What is DEEPer

It’s a 12-week Digital Engineering Education Programme, delivered by a Lancashire based consortium to help recruit candidates from a diverse range of backgrounds to develop the digital engineering experts for the future for the region. Together Enterprise4All, CBP and Magma are ideally placed to develop this programme to create the digital engineers of the future. Backed and funded by The Digital Skills Partnership Lancashire with GMCA and Lancashire LEP.

It will give candidates the skills and confidence to move ahead in the field of software engineering and give them the chance to learn from people working in the sector, and the opportunity to take up a work placement.

Who is it for?

This programme is for a diverse sector of people both currently in and out of employed positions.

  • People wanting to break into this area of employment from any IT based skilled background
  • People working within the digital sector that want to move into software development.
  • People looking to return to work after a break.
  • Unemployed graduates looking to enter the workplace.
  • People looking for a career change.

Could you help us to shape the future?

Opportunities for employers

The DEEPer programme is employer-led, designed to create work ready software engineers to help companies in Lancashire fill their skills gaps. We are looking to work with Lancashire based employers within the Digital Sector to work with us and give us an insight into the industry. If every company in the digital sector was able to offer some support, however small, we would see changes and benefits to the whole industry and the wider industries we support.
